NORTH TEXAS FURY COACHES JULIO ZUNIGA
Coach “Julio” was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, and moved to the United States at the age of 14. He is married and has two children actively involved in sports. His competitive nature in sports, most notably soccer, began as a child and became a regular part of his life. He devoted himself to soccer while attending Woodrow Wilson High School, and continued playing with several championship teams, including the USISL Professional Soccer League. Coach Julio is currently playing with Agnew FC, and was an integral part of the NTPSA Spring 2010 championship team. Coach Julio is a well rounded athlete with many past achievements, including a qualifier for the Mexican Olympic Boxing Team in 1996. Coach Julio began coaching “recreational” girls’ soccer a few years back, and was instrumental in forming the North Texas Fury 98G competitive soccer team in 2010.
